About the Speakers:
1. Mr. Yoav Haimi; Commercial Consul and Head of Economic and Commercial Mission, Consulate General of Israel in Hong Kong
Mr. Yoav Haimi started his position as the Commercial Consul and Head of Economic and Commercial Mission at the Consulate General of Israel in Hong Kong since July 2020. He is responsible for facilitating business matching between Israeli and Hong Kong/Macau companies. He explores opportunities in the Hong Kong and Macau market for the Israeli business community in various sectors, and promote technological co-operation and strategic alliances between the sides. Apart from assisting Israeli companies to expand business, Mr., Haimi is also dedicated to bring the best investment opportunities from Israel to different types of investors in Hong Kong, including individual investors, institutional investors and family offices.
2. Mr. Eli Assoolin; CEO & Co-founder of Newsight Imaging.
Eli brings to Newsight Imaging over 24 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and sensor technology. Before establishing Newsight imaging, Eli has held key positions in chip design and CAD in several leading companies, including Motorola, DSP Group, Magma ICCOM, Transchip and others. He has also served as the General Manager of Maple Technologies. Eli holds a BSc. CS, and holds an Executive-MBA from the Bar Ilan University.
3. Mr. Ranen Cohen-Orgad; CEO Leader Underwriters
Ranen has 18 years of experience in the capital market and serves as Leader Underwriters CEO since 2010. Previously, Ranen was an investment broker at Leader. Prior to joining Leader in 2004, he served as an analyst and the head of technology at National Consultants (Leumi & Co.)
4. Dr. George So; a Board Director of Newsight Imaging; Director of Innovative Thinker HK Ltd; Chairman & Co-founder of AI Innobio Ltd.
Dr. George So is passionate about driving innovation and technology in sustainable developments to improve human lives and protect the environment. His vision and leadership were demonstrated in his involvement in different associations, the HK Innovation Association (Founding Chairman); the Guangdong-HK-Macao-Bay Area Innovation Technology and Knowledge Transfer Centre (Chairman); the HK International Blockchain, and Financial Association (Advisor), etc. His achievements also include appointments as the advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation; member of the Hong Kong Accreditation Service Advisory Board to the HKSAR Innovation and Technology Commission, and the Innovation and Technology Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
5. Dr. Kyle Wong; President of Association of Blockchain Development; Chief Operating Officer of Artificial Intelligence Hong Kong Limited.
Kyle, Ph.D., CFA and FRM, has more than 30 yr. of experience in the financial markets. He has taken on sales and management positions at Merrill Lynch, Citibank, HSBC and RBC Group in Hong Kong, Canada and Singapore. He has great knowledge in tokenomics. He was advisor to several crypto projects. From 2010-2017 He was the Chief Operating Officer of a hedge fund focusing on tech and value stocks in the Greater China area. He will bring his expertise in identifying macro trends, valuation and due diligence to technology projects. Kyle received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Cornell University.
6. Dr. Amanda Lim; A Charter Member of AAMA PRD, a Digital Economy Consultant and a Lecturer.
Being a business consultant and a project research lecturer, Amanda has valuable and reputable corporate consultancy job experience. Her consultancy and research projects are related to AI, fintech, blockchain, biotech, robotics and retail 4.0. She has published more than thirty articles and research reports related to Digital Economy. She got her Bachelor Degree of Social Sciences (Economics) from the University of Hong Kong, Master Degree of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Manchester, PhD (Management) from Renmin University of China and Postdoctoral Certificate from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She got her Fintech course certificate from HKU and her Contract Law course Certificate from Harvard University. Also, she is an assistant Professor at the Industrial and Economic Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
